Who We Are
The PNG Chamber of Resources and Energy (PNGCORE) is a not-for-profit peak industry body representing Papua New Guinea’s mining, petroleum and energy sectors.
Established in 1987, PNGCORE brings together resource companies, industry service providers and key stakeholders to advocate for responsible industry development and sustainable economic growth.
Working alongside government, businesses and communities, we foster dialogue, strengthen partnerships and promote opportunities that deliver lasting nation-building benefits from Papua New Guinea’s natural resources.

Our History
Founded in 1987 as the PNG Chamber of Mines and Petroleum, the Chamber was established to provide a unified voice for Papua New Guinea’s rapidly growing mining and petroleum industries.
Over the decades, PNGCORE has strengthened industry representation, supported investment and facilitated dialogue through major initiatives and events, including PNG Investment Week, PNG Resources Week and the PNG Asia Investment Conference.
On 13 November 2023, the Chamber officially rebranded as PNGCORE.
