Who we are
This website, pngcore.org, is operated by the Papua New Guinea Chamber of Resources and Energy Inc (PNGCORE), Level 7, MRDC Haus, Corner Musgrave Street and Champion Parade, Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. Questions about this policy: communications@pngcore.org.
What we collect and why
- Contact and membership enquiry forms: the name, organisation, email address, phone number and message you enter, and on the contact form the topic you choose, so that the Secretariat can respond to you. Submissions are emailed to the Secretariat inbox for that topic (membership enquiries go to Member Services). A private copy is also stored in the website’s administration system so authorised PNGCORE staff can track and respond to your enquiry, including when an email notification fails. These details are not sold or shared with third parties.
- Newsletter subscription: your email address and, if you give it, your name, used to process your subscription request and send you CORE Update. Your request and consent are stored in the private website administration system and sent to the Secretariat for processing. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in each issue or by emailing communications@pngcore.org.
- Membership applications: expressions of interest are completed on our registration provider’s site (pngcmp.eventsair.com), which has its own privacy terms.
- Website analytics: this website does not currently use analytics or advertising tools. If we add analytics, we will say on this page which tools we use and what they collect before we switch them on.
- Embedded content: some pages show YouTube videos and a Google Maps map. Video preview images are loaded from YouTube’s image server; a video or the map loads only when you choose to play it or show it, and YouTube and Google may then set cookies and collect data as if you had visited their sites. See their privacy policies.
- Recruitment applications: your name, email address, cover letter and CV, together with any optional phone number or message, are used to assess your application and contact you about the advertised vacancy. Your application and documents are stored in the private HR dashboard and emailed to recruitment@pngcore.org and the vacancy’s nominated reviewers. Access is restricted to authorised HR staff. HR manages deletion of website recruitment records and documents; email and backup copies are handled separately. For recruitment information requests, contact recruitment@pngcore.org.
Cookies
The site sets only the cookies it needs to work: a session cookie used by its forms plugin and, if you enter the password for a protected page, a cookie that remembers it. It does not set analytics or advertising cookies. Your browser lets you refuse or delete cookies.
Information on this website
The information provided on this website is intended for awareness purposes only. PNGCORE takes care to keep it accurate and attributes statistics to their sources, but it does not constitute professional or legal advice.
Managing your information
Private form records include the submission time, consent record, notification status and staff follow-up notes. Access is restricted to authorised staff. PNGCORE reviews stored records and handles requests to correct or erase information through its administration process. Copies in approved staff mailboxes, backups or exported lists are managed separately.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing communications@pngcore.org.
Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page.
